How about starting a thread on it and leaving this one to MPG?

I heard those Canadians can run 100 all day long and still get good fuel economy.

    Freightlinerbob Thanks this.

that's because you have a mileage mentality, you only know working by the mile and the more miles means more money routine. I run for the highest revenue with the least amount of miles, you couple that with fuel savings and you are making money. I rarely run over 2200 miles a week, last year for example was 105,000 total miles loaded and empty.

on a run of 500 miles paying 1300 to the truck, drivng 70 versus 60 will save me a hour, the fuel savings with my cat will be approx. 1mpg. it will save right at 10 gallons of fuel at 6 vs 7 mpg at say 3.80 a gallon, I made 38.00 for a supposed extra hour behind the wheel.

and you aren't missing out on any loads, its the tortoise and the hare story all over, believe it or not the tortoise wins in the end .

TMC is company drivers, if they keep the mpg up they get another % point in pay. if you keep truck revenue at 4k weekly 1% is $40 more weekly or 40x4.33 = $173.33 more a month.

average truck rev is 3250 for tmc, not 4000. MPG is calclated how you compare to the rest of the fleet, not actual mpg. You get points for being above or bellow fleet average. More mpg wont always help depending on how far you are from the next % with evrythign else.
