I have a KW with air jaws, and slide. Locks tighter than a Holland 5th wheel. Less slopp. I will try to spell this right, Omergoughten Mfg< E. Germany, Gr/. Horshe is the guy. They are the Masters in worn out 5th wheels. 1/3 less. Pennies count.

Not standard. I have a 2013 Cascadia with a manual pin lock.

No sane person would try to dolly down on the shoulder of I-70 in Denver.

Fire Extinguishers are not made to put out a fire, they are designed to knock down a fire till f.d. arrives. Also gives you time to get out or away from the fire.

Oh if you get quick release weld a plate so the king pin slides off! It will hang on the frame. Channel iron works just fine.

We have a directive from the company, if tractor or trailer catches fire, unhook fifth wheel and pull out if the flames allow. Don't bother with dolly down. The freight is often more valuable than the trailer if it's the tractor that's on fire. If it's the trailer that's burning, it's likely a loss anyway, so save the horse.

Yep, and mine (Pete) would be impossible to uncouple on accident. First you have to turn the switch to the on position. This will only work in neutral, and parking brake set. Then pull and hold the valve to pull the pin. Of course you still have to back up against the kingpin first to take out the slack just like if you were going to pull it by hand.
