Ok, so were both really excited and kind of nervous at the same time. We put in the online app, received a call back, placed our 100.00 down, got all the background and mvr stuff ran and he was accepted to the school, class starting next month. This might sound like a stupid question, but does this mean he is a Millis driver now? Is he hired for sure or is there something that could prevent him from getting the job? He doesn't have his cdl, so he's doing the class. Can someone explain what happens now? I mean, I know nothing is ever guaranteed, but if he goes in there and shows he can perform the duties required, would anything stop him from getting his own truck?
Hubby was accepted to Millis School, what now?

He should be good to go, if; there's no deception on the application, he passes the DOT physical and drug test. If his blood pressure & sugar levels are good or within accepted range with medication, he's OK.

What date does the next class start? I'm hoping to get accepted soon myself! -
it depends on where you live, but there is one once a month

Before Millis hires him as a driver he has to get his cdl. So he'll have to do well in school and pass both the written test or tests depending on which endorsements he wants such as hazmat , doubles/ triples, tanker, etc. and then the road test. Being accepted to the school is the first step. So I just told you what you basically already know after I read your post again !

It's a process that begins with school. He must FINISH school, then training, then his own truck. When he finishes orientation and gets an employee number, he is hired. FYI, a lot of students wash out, probably 40%.

The only thing that may keep him from not qualifying odviously would be failing any of these steps

Like most already stated, if your truthful on your application, pass your physical and drug test , then your last day of orientation is your official hire date.
