I'm an O/O looking for an honest, busy Florida company that hires owner operators. Preferably hauling aggregates (dump trailer loads). Advice??
Florida aggrigate companies...?

Tri-State Carriers. Pritchett in Lake Butler (actually all over Fl). They are both pretty decent from what their drivers say. You are not going to get rich, but you'll make out alright.
Silver Sand is also alright, the guys seem to be making it, but the pay is on the low end.
Patco is bottom of the barrel. Don't go with Patco, they are scammers. Don't take my word for it, ask for one of their lease agreements and read through it for a good laugh (really, don't take my word for it, I'm just another dog on the internet giving out advice that people should corroborate with other sources).
Actually, hauling rocks for anyone is not going to make you rich, I imagine.mje and JohnFamilyFarms Thank this. -
Thanks!! I'll definitely research Tri-State and Silver Sand.
mje Thanks this. -
I'm on another forum and some were saying that. SMG of the treasure coast out of vero beach has major problems paying for you to haul their loads.. And when you ask them for the money.. She goes ballistic for you insulting her.. Try bulkloadsnow.com. They have a load board that you can go on for a small fee if you want loads through them or they have other things on it for free.
mje Thanks this. -
i agree patco is bottom of the barrel scum tri state seems to have a good reputation according to my friends who are leased on to them the haul lime rock and fly ash central florida area
JohnFamilyFarms Thanks this. -
hows the aggregate in south florida? i keep hearing its getting better, must be dump trucks are going for 30+k here..

Been seeing alot more mini wheelers on the road when I'm down that way. Commercial construction over all is picking up, so I'd say its doing much better than it has in the past 5 years. Shell rock, lime rock, etc. seems to be the aggregate of choice.

john if you got a end dump trailer come down here and work for tri-state or DT Transport they get the best jobs and your home every day
-
I contacted Lori with Tri-State and their dispatcher for my area (Highlands Co) said currently they had nothing to keep me busy. Have you heard good things about DT Transport? Where are they out of??

I live in the Ocala are... I own a tractor (no trailer) any ideas for dump work? I worked for Patco years ago and I agree they are awful...
