dont know what swift teminal you were at >>>>> but !!!!!! thats the problem. you dont go to the termials. you stay out of them, do your thing, take care of your truck, and you dont need to go there. i,m with them (not proud of it) but haven had any problems yet. as for pay ???? in long run >>> some where most companies all come out about the same in pay . its a shame so many of swift drivers *)^)(^&) up, but hey its a training company so what do you except? but know one thing we are nottttttttttt like all those whom are training > i concider myself a good driver. in the 18 yrs. i,m on road i have never had any accidents charged to me or violations of any kind except 1 over load fine. Not too many out there can say that. Is there a better company i could work for???? yes. and i,m sure we may all be able to say that. they call me JD be safe be well

As a side note, and not to take anything away from the accident but with 44,000lbs in the trailer and with where his tandems are... seems to me he would be way over weight on his trailer axels.

That tops the swift truck I saw at a scale here asking on the CB "what does it mean when the "to park" signal comes on while I'm crossing the plate?" :biggrin_25523:

Should have told him it means he gets a free pass to the pickle park and one free pickle wash. Kidding... don't tell 'em that.

Um... I may have been responsible for getting more than one JB Hunt driver pulled around back. :biggrin_25525: Getting on the radio and:

"JB Hunt Tractor 26107... this is the weighmaster. Turn on your four way flashers and proceed to the parking area. Bring in your log book, registration and Florida CB permit."

LOL... some of 'em did. I'll bet they were crapping themselves thinking, "CB permit? Crap, they didn't give me one of those."

    Edit for the newbies:
This is why you turn your radio off when you roll through the scale.

    And edit for the old-timers:
I'm a little older and wiser now... I wouldn't do that to a driver today, no matter what color of ugly brown truck they are driving.

I suspect it's a 53 foot trailer and the tandems are properly set for California's bridge law. Also, the photo appears to have been taken using a wide-angle lens, which would exaggerate the perspective.

However, LAD_Mavric's post #15 brings up an interesting point. If that's a 48 foot trailer, and I doubt it is, the tandems would be waayyy too far forward to scale a 44,000 pound load legally. IMO
