I'm looking for honest answers to my question not a bunch of jokes. Atleast I'm trying to find honest work, after all I could just stay here, find a cash job and live off welfare (your taxes).

Hi jason and welcome to the forum. What you did was a long time ago but for certain things the industry is unforgiving.Your DUI will be fine but the other 2 charges I don't know. Please don't attend a school then look for work because sadly you could be out of all that money with a worthless CDL.

Carolina Cargo loves felons... team pay is 22cpm, no benefits, time off is based on how many runs you do ... and it's all team, no solo. You have to have a clean MVR to work Carolina Cargo. Pretty bad huh? And I'm just putting it out here as a example, so you can see some of the outfits that look for felons and pay poverty wages.

Think id rather pick up cans for a living then work for a company like this.Jason you may have to go with a bottom and I do mean a bottom of the barrel company until the better companies can trust you hauling their freight.Anymore its getting harder and harder getting into this industry.Drivers with a lot less on their records can't even find work.

Yeah what Patty said. IF you're serious then you'll have to start at the bottom and get some experience before you can even THINK about making more.

I think you should try. 5 years from now this will be your story and you'll be making a living. Good luck.

Nothing is impossible... be sure to keep that in mind.

Your prospects will look at what you've been doing in more recent years (work, community, volunteer, etc.), as well as what you did nearing two decades ago.

Being that productive member of society "can" mitigate much of the past.

There are companies that will consider you...!

    Best of luck...

There ya go you just have to look at the requirements.I don't care how desparate you are to drive trk,CRENGLAND is NOT the company to choose. They do stress the leaseing on all the drivers and heres the kicker, you choose to not lease and be a company driver it'll be weeks to months before a company trk is available. Can you afford not working that long? This is how they have like a 95% of drivers that lease and most fail miserably.

Fed Ex contractors are hiring pretty much anyone it would seem considering how many of them run excessively reckless
