Safe for Attractive Women?

I have seen a couple of truck stop fights, mainly between men fighting over dum stuff like peeing on the toliet seat. Yeah, they can be interesting but nothing that should keep you out of the industry.

You should have pretty thick skin however, because guaranteed that you will hear your fair share of hooting & hollering when you walk though the rigs at the stop.

 

Most of the drivers out there are much more respectful of the women drivers out there than that, even to the "attractive" women . . . you might get one or two idiots that start acting stupid, but for the most part, that just doesn't happen.

 

I guess that would depend on the kind of women as well....I have some female friends who drive, and they get a lot of stupid people...even just from other passing drivers. .

 

I end up with some of it as well, but the way some people talk about it on here, they make it sound like it's a wolves' den out there, when it really isn't. I got whistled at over the CB yesterday in MI. Big deal. Doesn't bother me, because the driver didn't start acting like a cartoon character. Others have, but most of the time other drivers put those guys in their place.

 

So I guess the rest of us girls are old ugly and out of shape. I have been on the road since I was a very young girl in my early 20's and never ever had a problem, and I am not ugly or out of shape. If you are always in fear of stuff like this maybe it isn't the job for you.

 

I totally disagree,I don't fear anything,( except a mouse! Lol I'm OUTTA there! )
And bc of that,it becomes a problem with "some" drivers... Some want to be a "savior", don't need one.
Some want to flirt,don't need that,some want to "know why" don't need that,some want to "share their approval", don't need that,some need you "to be their entertainment" ,don't need that. So being a female driver has its "pros and cons"... For the love of all good,it's a SIMPLE steering wheel,you can be young,old,male,female,whatever,the wheel is not prejudice ...

When "some " get over the whole gender thang,and just have a sense of comradery it'll be easier FOR THEM. LOL "Most drivers have empathy for other drivers,simply bc they know what we all have to go through for the most part. The ONLY thing you need to fear,is having me behind you on the fuel island,and you've gone to shower!!!Ugh! Lol

 

So you're still getting "The Look" if I'm reading this right? Maybe glue a ZZ Top beard on??

Yea keep in mind though you're from Texas. Ain't a man stupid enough to mess with a woman from Texas. Might end up hog tied in the back row in nothing but his boxers lol.

I respect women drivers on the road. You're no different than me in that truck. You're just trying to do your job much like I'm trying to do mine. I've told a few drivers to shut the #### up on the radio calling for that "sweet voice" or "pretty lady". That #### just gets on my nerves...suppose the best one was the guy who asked if somebody wanted to fight and a woman came back on there and says yea I'll fight I'm gonna slap your ### clear back into next week. My god that was a fun day.
