A very good experienced driver running wild in the northeast 98% of the time with p!ss poor directions 50% of the time is going to have more mistakes than an inexperienced driver running the south with good directions. Especially the ones that don't deliver in the cities with a dedicated route. Oversized haulers have someone holding their hands during daylight hours. They are likely to have few mistakes also. These companies need to weigh in all the factors. We have drivers at my company that never crossed the stateline in 20+ years. Never been in the mountains or crossed a chicken coop running the same run to the same terminal.

you need to be thrown on with a trainer....a real trainer. by the fact you said your trainer dropped a trailer because he didnt tug test it and was too lazy to check the king pin and the locking jaw. shows me that you sir didnt get any RIGHT training at all sounds like he just got you your hours just to get his end of the check. if i was reviewing your app for my company i would most likely put it to the side and forget about it. this is just reality " i know you think otherwise" but once again its reality because chances are the person that is reviewing your app doesnt drive a truck and throws a red flag right away.

In reply to the original post is your driving carrer
over.. The short answer is no what this sounds like to me is common rookie mistakes and it happens to all of us when we inintally start driving and most companies understand this.. I would just apply somewhere else and be honest stress your positives and mention the negatives but dont dwell on them in a few years you will look back and take them for what they were rookie mistakes same thing happened to me and 20years later I am at a well paying job and a company trainer so there is always a future just dont give up on it.. God Bless

I took my experienced self to the northeast (Long Island city) and ran over a stop sign, backed into a huge light pole (bent it) and may have hit a parked car but I didn't hang around to find out. I figured the tax payers would be glad to pick up the tab. I remember when I was inexperienced. I would do the right thing and tell on myself. Now that I'm a highly skilled seasoned veteran, I learned that one mans mistake is many others tax dollars and since I don't live in NY. It ain't my tax dollars.

Who is this someone that does the handholding for the OSOW gang? Pilot cars? Some office jock? The DOT? Smokey?
if that were the case, when we get into a bind, whomever it was that was supposed be holding our hand would be allowed to share in the incredibly massive tickets we get when we goof.
