Actually, no it doesn't. It just says to a maximum of 183 days in a calendar year. It doesn't specify either cumulative or consecutive.
The language in the relevant act may be more clear. -
Doesn't that mean cumulative ?

id love to be wrong aboot this

That's clearer.

Although, absent a confession brought on by waterboarding, it would be difficult to prove.
And for what, an "improper registration" charge? Probably not worth anyone's time, especially if your home province registration and insurance is still valid (as has been suggested). YMMV
-
Don't put water boarding past either insurance system in question; )

Change of topic - in Red Deer all major players have hiring signs out.
Be sure to apply online. Recruiters like that. -
Question - what's it like working a vac truck on drilling rigs?
First, let me thank everyone that's been contributing to this thread. It's been a great help since leaving the economic black hole known as "back east" for Alberta in 2011. This is my first post. Lurker here for some time.
Have been working on a frac crew for about a year and a half now. Recently decided that frac is not what I want to do for the rest of my life, so...
Today, was offered a job working a vac truck on drilling rig sites, and, hoping that someone here can tell me a little more about it...my experience in the patch is limited to frac.
Guessing that working vac truck on a drilling rig is mostly about removal/disposal of used up drilling mud, but beyond that I don't have a clue. i.e. is there any climbing involved, etc? How physically demanding/dirty is it? How much driving is there versus how much time sitting on lease? The guy said that new hires can expect to clear about $3000 after tax every two weeks, in a camp setting, with 14 x 12 hour days. He said his top earners clear about $3600 every two weeks.
Any info or insight that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
