At your young age and your lack of experience you're not looking at much money. 22cpm to 34cpm is a guess depending on if you run team or solo.
No two new drivers are alike but new is new and you have to earn your cpm by staying clean for 6 to 12 months then you start to earn more very slowly. If you're a great driver and someone offers you a fantastic deal check them out just like you're doing right now. Check them all out right now for increases and hometime and you'll know who you want to jump to later. It's a never-ending process because you always want to know where you'd go if the need arises.
So here on TTR you'll find most folks don't talk personally about their cpm while others will brag until it's nauseating but never tell you who they work for.johnbergsing Thanks this. -
Us Express offered to start me at .38cpm for military experience. and average around 2600 miles a week. I just dont know if thats good enough because there has to be better pay out there.

There is really no such thing as a best company to start out with. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick out a few companies that you re interested in, compare the pay and benefits of each one, and call and ask questions about the company that you re interested in the most, and then go from there and choose the one that interests you the most. Its basically down to which company you feel will best suit you

Prime is a good company for beginner drivers. You can read about their training process below. It also has some info about the pay as well.

The best company is the best fit for you.... what is a dream for one, is nightmare for other.
USX at 38 w/ 2600 wk avg sounds like good starting point. Put a few more irons in the fire to see what compares. Remember recruiters do lie a little bit from time to time.Saylor91 Thanks this. -

Go with tanker or flatbed. regardless the pay and lack of freedom will suck unless you can learn the business of trucking. Just do not go to a van or reefer company. Learn tank or flat and more profitable doors will be open to you. the couple cents per mile Ripoff Xpress is giving you wont be worth it in the long run because it will keep you dumber down longer. refuse to be a dumbed down slave like most of the things in trucks are.

.22cpm is team at .44cpm split.
Carolina Cargo in South Carolina pays .11cpm but they will hire felons who think they can't work anywhere else
