what to expect for phone interview

I've had less interviews than that to get lead design positions with huge defense contractors. LOL What are you going to be hauling nuclear waste?

Probably it's a small co and they value their drivers opinion of other drivers. I have been asked to "sit in" on interviews with potential employees before. Not sure about why they would have a driver do a complete interview of his own for you but just keep plugging.

Worst I've had was an interview with 12 interviewers, lasted all day, they rotated to lunch while the group kept questioning me.

 

So I'll comment, as I'm a corporate recruiter. Peer interviews are very common these days and not limited to driver positions. When I interviewed for jobs there was always a "peer" level interview. This person would tell me about the position from their point of view and ask me questions. I then would ask them questions as well to get a better idea of what I could be getting into. So I view the peer interview as a good thing.

Of course, your interview is today, so I'm a bit late to the party. How did it go?

 

I know albhb3 not saying how. he had the next interview with a former driver 10 years and now in dispatch and also the transportation head. Did a pretrip on the spot and driving test unknowing comming into the interview. Just heard from him today has to go fill out a paper app and is hiring on pending a drug test.
Now this will be his first driving job starts at 17per hour plus ot after 40 .50 cents an hour raise after 90 days 100% vested 401K at day one and a full benefits package in 45 days. So to all you knewbs out there. There are local jobs out there that will hire you with no exp.

 

As part of our interview process, we administer a road test as well, so it's not an uncommon practice.

 

Oh i wasnt saying that they wouldnt had. Thats common and should be I was just saying they usually do that farther down the line hence was suppost to happen with the next interview but it was fine obviously

 

OK. Here's our process flow for candidates we think might be a fit: 1. phone interview with recruiter (me). 2. Phone interview with fleet manager 3. In-person interview with fleet manager 4. In-person interview with our logistics and safety managers 5. road test 6. job offer (contingent on clear background, MVR, drug & physical) 7. drug/physical & background

 

well drug test/physical wensday they were starting background info yesterday so getting closer

 

I love being groped by an old man jost cant get enough. Anyways all taken care of and just waiting on the word should hear from them in the next day or so. let me tell you guys it sucks not working a ton 5 hours this week so far, cant wait to get started.
