Can I add broker loads to all this?????? The last two loads I have had were broker. Sat at Costco in W. Palm Beach from 8 am to 11:30 am. Got another broker load to pick up in Ft. Meyers Beach. Appt. time? Noon 165 miles away. Huh?!? Called them to see what I could do and we settled on 4 pm. Arrived at this hotel that is being remodeled and the old furniture is going to Bristol VA to another hotel. Anyway, had to wait for another truck to get done. 5 pm finally get in the lot and they get started on me. Oh, and btw, did I mention my hours will be up at 8 pm? Just going to get to the nearest rest area and shut down. This has been a total waste of a day for me. And it makes 3 weeks in a row that I have gotten low miles. Glad I am headed home after this, even though I have 4 doctor appts. and really could use more miles. Hopefully it will be better soon.

When it rains it pours. It is not fun having so many flat tires. Hope your doctors appointments go well for you.

RC, I feel your pain. I am on a 2 stop pickup at Hall's in NJ, they are 7 miles apart. Taking it to Norfolk. The kicker: pickup now and deliver 350 miles away tomorrow at 1600.

Gracious girl!!!! Must be your "magnetic" personality!!!!! (sorry.... couldn't resist)

Hanging at the TA in Milldale, CT tonight. Delivering 392 double-stacked grocery carts tomorrow morning in Putnam. Should be interesting to see how they are going to get them off. Expecting a looooong unload time.

    But, HEY!!! No flat tires......

Just rub it in, why don't ya! LOL Here in Bristol being unloaded. It took 7 guys 3 hours almost to load it. Lets see how long it takes 4 guys to unload it. Never did get the tire fixed. Still holding air. But since I reported it, I will get it fixed at the Petro after I am empty. Sigh.. Was hoping to get home tonight so I wouldn't have to rush tomorrow. First appointment is at 1 pm.

So my 2 pick up, go 350 miles in excess of 24 hours turned in to a load worse than any broker load I have had. I get here and find out it is going to two different warehouses with the same appt time and driver/lumper unloads. I guess Kimberly isn't in as almost 48 hours ago I sent in a message asking if it was lumper unload as I don't have any comchecks and would stop for cash. No answer. They have them here but cost $5. All the pallets have to be broken down and they couldn't explain it well enough to me for me to break it down so I called in for a number. That's $145. Then I head to the other warehouse when they are done here and hope they have a comcheck. So for a total of 570 miles it is going to take 44 hours of my time. What a waste.

You can usually stop and get comchecks at a truckstop.

Rule of thumb: if you can't get an answer to a message, pick up the phone

Thanks for that, something I didn't know. Haven't used them since 2000 as I didn't need them running a skateboard and bedbugging. Always paid cash for everything.

I wasn't that worried about it and knew I could talk one out of another driver and like to send messages to make them do their job hehe. Also seems every time I call in I get a certain person that tells me to use the QC. Told her before if I had time to pull over I would but hence the call as I don't.

Four hours later and I left the first warehouse. Got to the second one and asked if I knew that there was an appt time. I told him I sure did, it was 1600 just like at the other warehouse. Showed him my other bills and then he stuck me right in a door. As I was looking over their policy I see that they charge the driver a certain amount for each block over two hours. I wonder if their HQ sets the same appt time on two deliveries to try to collect some money.
