It probably depends on the company. I'm not familiar with the drug, but I would ask the company you're applying with just to be sure .Sorry I couldn't be more help

    http://www.drugs.com/adderall.html

Adderall contains a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Both these medicines are central nervous system stimulants that affect chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.

In an industry that tests drivers for the use of "amphetamines" I can't imagine how Adderall would be allowed.

It is allowed as long as you have a script for it.

although it may technically be allowed, I am willing to bet that every company out there has a policy against it. Think about the liability involved with turning a driver loose whom they know will test positive for amphetamines. That's a lawsuit that any of these truck-accident-lawyers would jizz in their pants over.

Do a web search, d.o.t. Has a page on they're website that tells you what meds are restricted.

I would ask your Dr. to get you a Note on DOT Forms that states that you are OK to drive, Medication often times make reactions better then worse, I am on a Major Pain Med. and have tested Positive/Negative for it, I show them the form my Dr. provided and I'm good to go, If it is prescribed then I think this releases the Dr. and the driver from suit, It may take place but a jury is not going to find guilt because of the medication. Thank You.

You really think that>you're not very good @ thinking then. A simple prescription will NOT alleviate a Dr of liability, think about it. Not in this litigious society.
