Orientation feels a lot like boot camp. A lot of hurry up and wait in a low rest, high stress environment.
As far as I can tell, they do it that way to weed out the folks with poor attitudes and a lack if punctuality.
What you pack for depends on how long you'll be side seating as a trainee, but your recruiter will give you a list if the basics. The only real advice I can give is this: pack light, but don't skimp on the socks and the skivvies. -

Its a backlog if you are applying for the first time. If you already have your Certificate of Eligibility then its a breeze!

Yea, forgot about COE. Had to get one for my upcoming home loan, and that took a couple months.
