They can vary, you should have an idea what wheelbase your looking for first, have an idea of the power plant and also the size of the sleeper if your going that route, will it be a flatop? Or a condo? What size? Once you get an idea what your looking for call a reputable Peterbilt dealer. He will give you a close estimate. Hope this helps and good luck with your new purchase.

Yeah What he said! ^^^^ You will need these particulars before anyone can get close to actual! I promise it shouldn't weigh over 80000 loaded with a trailer, a load and fuel and your Girlfriend!!!:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25523:

last one i drove weighed 105,500 loaded with a trailer and fuel but with the girlfreind at home.

she was a heavy pig nearly nearly 7k heavyer empty pulling the same trailer than the previous 379 but it was a heavyer speced truck, 290wb double frame 12k pusher 18 speed and 46k rears, compaired to a 280wb single frame with a 12k pusher 18 speed and 36k rears. i never did weigh each tractor indivdualy without a trailer so no tractor only weights, i suppose that info doesn't help you much but maybe it does. iv heard between the dpf and the urea tank adds over 500lbs by itself on the new trucks.

2012 386 with a 70" tall sleeper; 240" wheel base Cummins ISX comes in right around 18,000 on the factory plate. I just called on two of them and asked. I would guess a 389 would be close to that with similar specs.

I'm looking at a 280 wheelbase, 550 hp cummins isx15, a 18 speed tranny, & a 70in unibuilt sleeper. I'm seeing this since my cousin owns a truck like I have right now c15 475 248 wheelbase, 13 speed, & a 63 in sleeper and his empty weight including mine for the 07' 386 is 14,500 and I got dual 163 gallon tanks on it.

My truck alone has over a million on it w/ no overhaul or major repair yet and with 2014 coming along w/ california carb regulations coming along I need one fast. 389 is perfect for me new utility trailer paid off is already on the 386 and I have enough cash on me to pay of the 389 saved up. So gotta hurry:biggrin_25520:
