New to Prime INC - What to expect (Springfield edition)

I don't train... for the simple reason that I don't care to put my life in the hands of an unknown, untrained individual whom I would not trust. Plus I have difficulties sleeping in a moving truck... especially on the looser goat trails that many states are pleased to call interstate highways.

 

I trained PSD, advantages were an extra 845.00 or so a month in bonuses, if the trainee passed the tests the 1st time. Also being in a full sized truck.
Disadvantages, I actually lost money as I would lose 3 days of running when I would take the trainee on to test out, then another 1-2 days when I would go in to get a trainee. Also out of 5 trainee's only 2 completed the PSD course. 1 I removed from the program, 2 of them quit the 1st week, they could not take the lifestyle. So I lost money on both of them.

Also my blood pressure went up LOL.

 

If I ever get the chance to do PSD, I guarantee I would be the best trainee ever.

 

Doesn't matter... I'd still need to stash the body!

 

Try being more specific with your questions. If you are asking why go to Prime and not a CDL school, try the search box up in the corner. (Or why go to a private CDL school and not get company sponsored training.)

If you have to ask that question, your SO needs to find a different avocation. Drugs and alcohol are the kiss of death in this industry, and one's use of that while driving affects all of us by the pull-in rates at the weigh stations.
