I love my flip flops year round also ....and I live in Missouri! Husband has always been a work boots kind of guy. He's always worn Wolverine durashock boots but they have not held up to all of the diesel yuck. I just did a little research on what people that work in the oil fields wear and as far as durability most said Ariats and Red Wings. Husband never had good luck with Red Wings soooo I guess Santa may have to look for Ariats.

I have loved Ariats for about 10 years now. I got a pair that resemble hiking boots and are waterproof pretty much. Got them for riding horses and working around the barn, but they are comfortable enough to wear every day. I am normally hard on shoes, but I've had two pairs of Ariats in 10 years. My current pair is still functional but will be replaced whenever I get a chance to order a new pair.

Husband is hard on shoes also. Finding something that is comfortable and that will hold up to him and trucking has been hard to do. After you recommended Ariats and then people that work in oil fields recommend them I figure that's a pretty good recommendation. The price seemed to be about what we paid for the Wolverines so I plan on looking around and seeing if I can find them around here.

Yeah, I saw that thread. Apparently anyone who says anything good about TransAm is a dispatcher or paid to do it and I'm some ghost driver from India, because God forbid I make a stupid typo. Geez, I make so many typos, that I noted in my sig that it's because I post from my phone. I stopped posting in it and it later got deleted so I'm not sure how it progressed further. I guess because a lot of people hates TransAm and how they operate then everybody must hate TransAm. Is it so hard to believe that people can like the company. Shoot, I've met a driver who was content with England and had been there several years!

These are the Ariats I love. http://www.ariat.com/English/Women/Footwear/EnduranceBoots/TerrainH2O.html?color=COPPER
They are solid and I wear them anywhere. Sooo comfortable.

    Here's the men's version. http://www.ariat.com/English/Men/Footwear/EnduranceBoots/TerrainH2O.html?color=COPPER

I wouldn't balk at the price tag at all because of how long my previous boots lasted. The only thing I've replaced on my boots was insoles and laces on my current pair. They rock!

I've been keeping an index card file of shippers, receivers, and other info that I want to remember.Guess I will have to get busy, Home time! Thanks for starting that blog! I will like it when I can buy myself a laptop for my truck. This smart phone is no fun to type on! But son's college tuition for next semester comes first!

Last weeks miles: 3171 Yayyyyy! Makes up for the previous week, which was pathetic!

The driver that is "stranded" is from the same orientation as my hubby. He is one of the unfortunate ones that have the same DM as my hubby. The post was about him and a few other drivers from the same orientation that are on their way out or already out the door that all have the same DM. The OP, stated he was no longer with TA.

I currently wear all-black Nikes. When they wear out, I'll be looking at Arias, for sure.
