this is main bearing #6 on my cat 3406 in an 93 INT Cabover Eagle I'm not sure how the crank looks I was getting water in the oil the she locked up on me I was planning an inframe which is why I statred pulling it all down but now I'm not sure, I was thinking to just swap this motor out for a Cummins NTC 400 I have in my 84 K100. any thoughts?

This truck isn't worth a large amount of money on the used market. Unless you can do the Cummins conversion without spending a lot of money. I would junk the truck. To rebuild this 3406B/C engine, it would cost more than the truck is worth in the end.

If you can swap it cheap swap it. If not as Mr. Haney said scrap it. Just don't run it across the scale with the trans and rears on it. Those should still be able to fetch you a little money. And you've still got a b/c model core. Sounds too new to be what most guys want but ya never know. Might find somebody who wants to build a pulling rig out of that motor.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna do the swap I love my coe so I can't see scrapping it, I really don't even want to make the k100 a donor but looks like I gotta do what I gotta do. Btw turns out the crank is shot so I'll scrap that or sell it as a core anyway thanks again

The only thing I would put a Cummins motor in is a...............scrap dumpster,or possibly a boat, but only for an anchor!

I'd still have to rebuild the whole engine which is out of my budget right now since I haven't made any money with the truck since it sat thru the summer the wont really cost me much and it'll go right in with some minor tweaking.

The block was also damaged when the bearing spun in the journal. So the block needs a considerable amount of investment in $$$$$s to correctly repair the damage.
