Pull the flash codes and let us know what you get. With the cruise off, hold the resume button until it flashes out 2 digit codes.

it gives me a code 26

Double check that it is code 26. I say that just because it's easy to miscount and you don't want to waste time and money going in the wrong direction.
26 is a barometric sensor fault. It could be wiring, or a failed sensor. The sensor should be in the left side of the engine right next to the oil pressure sensor. Unplug it and look for corrosion in the plug. Give each wire a good tug to make sure they have a good connection. If any wires pull out, you need a new plug end.
To properly diagnose, you'd need a diagnostic program, but if the plug and wiring look OK, a new sensor is worth a shot. You'll pay more for a shop to diagnose than the sensor costs.trucker359 Thanks this.
