Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Any help please please

Hi just wanted to know what school you attended?

Thats a very difficult question to answer. In large part it depends on what you want out of your career. More miles, more per mile pay, more home time, only certain kinds of freight and so on. Even some of the worst companies have drivers that love it there because they offer what that driver wants. Obviously money is a major factor for all of us, but the variables that come into play would help determine which company is right for you. As so many people have said before me the main thing is do not be afraqid to ask potential employeers any and all questions you may have. Making the right choice is something that is very important to you and if they dont understand that then thats not a companyy you want to call home anyway.
I know this wasnt very helpful, and I apologize for that. If you have a few companies in mind this forum has a lot of resources you can use to check them out and of course ask anything you want to know about them. Someone here surely has worked for them and will happily share their opinions with you.
Whatever you decide good luck and be safe!! -
what do u wanna pull? (dry van, reefer, flats) that's another good place to start. flats are alot more work most of the time. most reefer outfits deal w/ alot of grocery warehouses which could mean lots of lumper fees or driver load/unload. lots of dry freight is no-touch and drop/hook.

Check out Roehl. They take students and many fellas on this site have signed on with them. I am not sure if New Hampshire is in their hiring area but worth a shot.

Thanks for the response guys, in all honesty pretty much anyone that will take me at this point. my driving and criminal record is perfect, so I know that isn't causing me any issues, has to be where I live.. just getting a little frusterating.

there are several sites online where you can fill out a single, generic application that goes to lots of trucking companies. if you're having that much trouble, this might be worth it for ya. just beware, there are some companies that will see your app then constantly call and bug you.
