Martin you should requested a state trooper to do a DOT inspection on USA truck so the alcohol double whammy would go on their CSA scores.

I drove a 2014 prostar. No governor. It got 5.5 mpg. It was a company truck and they didnt care. Nor did i.
-
'14 Pete 389 isx 550/2050 gets 6.5mpg average pulling decks.
-
Yeah that 4.5MPG number is way off! Just because its a hood does not mean MPG is bad....
Lilbit Thanks this. -
well not if your doing 80
-
Well yeah! I could do 62 in a hood and 75 in an aero and the aero will be that 4.5 while the hood is in the mid 6 range.... Hypothetically.
-
I love hoods i personally believe that's how a truck should look, but in today's economy if one is starting out ideally an aero would be a better choice, everyone says a hood has a higher resale value which is true but I'd rather keep more of my money RIGHT NOW!!! LoL

if you REALLY wanted to save money, you would move out of California.chopper103in, Joetro, freightlinerfever11 and 4 others Thank this.

That's very true lol

When your riding down the highway on a clear moonlit night, no traffic in sight, hot coffee in hand....you learn to appreciate having that long hood. Don't ask me why, but on those nights I find myself really loving what I do. I just don't think I would enjoy an aero truck near as much..
BeN DaViS, Lilbit, leftlanetruckin and 4 others Thank this.
