Training in Abilene for one month....Any ideas on short-term housing? Thanks!

    Just found out I'll be training in Abilene for one month before heading to Big Spring. I'd appreciate any info regarding short-term housing that's cheap in the area. TIA

    Abilene is a big university town so the pricing for the housing might actually be much higher. IF possible, try to find something away from the universities because there is a little problem with crime and theft.

    Abilene has a couple of tiny colleges. Not like Austin or Tuscaloosa. And there are lots of towns within 20 miles you can easily find apt or house. Crime?? Petty stuff like most other small to mid size towns. Only like 100,000 people there. Probably worse in Big Springs. Large gov clinic and other stuff there. More Gov suckers and criminal types but still not bad. You won't have any trouble.
