Looking at some driving schools in the Atlanta area and have looked at two places. America Driving Force in Forest Park on Moreland Ave and Georgia Driving Academy in Conyers. I would prefer the to go to the place in Forest Park simply because it is $1600 cheaper.
Anyone with any experiences with either of these places? Or any suggestions for a driving school in the Atlanta area?
Happy trails!

I went to Dekalb Tech College in Lithonia, Ga (near Conyers). Its a 10 week program (very thorough about 300 hrs total) and it starts every quarter. If you are a GA resident, you can apply for Hope grants and your out of pocket expense will be around one hundred bucks for everything (including books, DOT physical, drug tests, etc). The one in Forest Park told me I would have to fax job applications from their office.

The Commercial Truck Driving program (CTD) at Dekalb Tech is a 10 week program. First 2 weeks or CTD 101 is classroom only. Then, you go to DDS to take your written test and get your AP (permit). CTD 102 lasts about 4 weeks, you will be learning basic skills (straight line backing, alley dock, parallel, shifting, etc on the range). Instructors will be grading students during exercises. Those who are ready, will continue on to CTD 103 and go on the road 4 students per truck twice a week and continue practicing on the range. CTD 103 lasts 4 weeks. Final tests are scheduled two weeks in advance and are taken at Dekalb Tech.

Yes, it's. Call them. Don't know if you will be able to get into the spring quarter, though, because they fill up fast. Forgot to say, they also get many recruiters and you can fax your applications right there, at the school.
