LTL gig, they are part of YRC. Part of the regionals. I work for the regional out west USF Reddaway. Holland and regionals make money and profit so don't let then being owned by YRC scare you. You guys don't operate like us so I can't tell how the job is and there aren't many Holland guys on here. I do know they are union and from what I heard a good company. Are you doing P&D or Linehaul?
-
I will start working on the docks then slowly get p&d work. Then after a few years I will get my own route.
I have 0 experience and the only way I am getting the job is because I know someone who has worked there fore 17 years.
I am getting my hazmats now and then I will be applying. -
Good deal. Best way to get your CDL. Plus time in the union doesn't matter if you have a CDL or not. Think its a good choice.

Thanks. I had my finger prints taken on Tuesday and have been studying for my test. Boy that's a lot of stuff to remember! I hope I pass the first time.
-
It's easy, just take the practice test on this forum over and over til you get 100% acouple of times and you'll pass easily. Same questions asked at the DMV. That's all I did to renew my Hazmat last Oct.

Thanks for the heads up... I didn't even know about the practice test on here. I will take that and see where I'm at.

Yup, I just did it over and over again. Didn't study the book and passed easily. Also for my tanker endorsement.
