So far they seem to be pretty consistent. My runs have been running from 600-1100 miles. Get a couple of the short followed by a long or two. The type of product is all over the place, but it all pays the same. Pay checks are close to what I expected with a little more variability due to the hours issue.

Melton is my top choice once I get out of school. Thanks for the update on the miles since that was my only concern. I do realize mileage will vary but I was just curious if 1800-2000 a week average is true. This is what the recruiter is informing me of.

I really like it here and the 1800-2000 is pretty much what I am seeing. I would expect your average milage will stabilize over the first few month as you get familiar with what you are doing.

I know it isn't always possible, but try to get to within a short distance from your Monday delivery by no later than 7pm Saturday. If you shut down without having to drive Sunday, you will get a reset every week. I've done this the whole time I've been at Melton, and it never affects how many miles I get. As long as you get shut down by 7pm Sat, (I say 7 in case you have to get up early to travel the last hundred miles or so), your 34 will always be over at 5am Monday morning, and you'll be eligible for another one at 7pm the following Saturday.---It doesnt matter how early you shut down on Saturday, the 1-5am rule will force your restart to begin at 7pm, so use whatever you have on Saturday to get as close as you can when you're on a weekend run. Start every Monday with a fresh 70 hours.

It does pick up a little in the summer time. This is around the time it starts slowing for winter..volorange Thanks this.

Noggin, looks like I will get to do this a bit early this weekend since my drop won't make it until Monday unless the laws of physics change dramatically. I can't make it to either consignee by 1600 tomorrow. And I am supposed to go on hometime, for the first time, next Wednesday. Thanks for the tip. Keep 'em coming. : )

I have only seem 1800 once and that was nd I came off.of home.time on a Thursday. I have been avg about 2500. My best week has been 3200. I am sure during the winter months I will see lower miles
