With your attitude I think that you will do just fine. While I was in school our instructor talked to us about all of the bad stuff you hear about companies. He said you really have to just take that all in but remember that people love to complain more than they praise! That is soooo true. I get so sick and tired of everyone on this forum talking bad about almost every company. You have to start somewhere and going in with wide eyes and not expecting to be handed the world is a great start. It is like that in many many industries, not just trucking. You have to take crap jobs and pay your dues. That is just life.

I'm about to heave from reading all the crybaby stories on this company or that company blowing the big one. It seems to me that the only company you people would like, is one that sends you a check while you sit at home watching TV.

Yeah wannabe go and try CRE like monkey boy suggested, that is a fine suggestion.

 

CRE now puts 2 trainees on 1 truck. I am not sure how this is going to work out. I guess I will find out tomorrow.

 

Keep in mind CRE gets money from the government for you attending their school whether you finish or not. As long as you show up and sign the roster they get thousands of dollars. Then.they will collect an.admin fee from you then this is when they stick.it too.you."I'm sorry sir, we found this on your record you have to leave." No.refund.just a ticket home. The recruiters will tell you anything to get.you.to.the.school.

Also, you will make no.money working for.them. As a company or l/o expect to.make 200 per week on a good day and from.that 200 deduct 100 per week for expenses. They won't tell you that part. Also many of the trainers are horrible. This is the .only way to get miles:is team so.drivers are forced into.training. There are trainers who don't stop for bathroom breaks, have you pee in bottles, scream at you, literally abuse you.

How do I know this I just came from England. And I have seen this all happen. Please don't get your hopes up recruiters will outright lie to you to get you to the school then when they have used you for the government funding they send you home.

Try Millis transport out of Wisconsin don't get trapped into CRE. They will ruin your life.

The irony is three years ago CRE wasn't so bad a company to work for. I dont have enough fingers and toes to count the number of old timers between 5-10 years working for them, that I see in there yards or on the road that told me they were quitting. They all say the same thing. Up till about 4 years ago it was one of the better mega carriers to work for but it went in the toilet fast. They tried to eliminate company drivers and just go to lease operators only, that didnt go threw, not paying most of our tolls ets... tacking on massive extra charges that never were taken out of checks before just went into the toilet. All the old timers that got into CRE when it was good probably when OP posted this, are gone or will be gone soon. Pretty sad, and very unnecessary for what was once a great company to work for to turn into the the biggest ripoff company out there in regards to the mega carriers. CRE is hanging them selves and with all there intelligence, they seem to be completely blind????
