I used just the regular green water proof under lay that you buy at your local lumber yard and as for the noise level cant really tell you i never noticed a difference but my truck is pretty loud anyways good luck
-
try laying down some 1/4 inch buffalo board i noticed a big difference less noise

I used cork between my bamboo floors and ceiling, also between the stainless steel side wall panels.
Cork is a good insulator and water resistant. About the noise level going up or down? Can't tell the difference really with the 8in stove top straight pipes and two 12 in subs with 1600 watt amp for each sub and the internal speakers have their own amp.
What? What? I still can't hear you. Let me take my ear plugs out lol. -
Where can I guy find cork? I never would have thought of using it much less where to buy it. I do not even know where to begin looking for it.

Flooring store or Lowes/HD in the flooring department. Go Engineered as solid wood won't like the trucks constantly changing environment. I used the anti fatigue mats from harbor freight, then a layer of luan plywood with some cheap engineered Brazilian Cherry on top of that.
bigguns Thanks this.
