I would never do teams, even the first year. Some people like it, but most don't.
If you want teams though, go with a company that does back to back, coast to coast runs.

    mje and DE36535 Thank this.

Like ChinaTown said I would not team if my career depended on it! I can not sleep in a moving truck, I tried it when I came out of school several years ago, I just can not sleep in a truck, I've tried top bunk I've tried bottom bunk, I tried sleeping in the passengers seat! If you can sleep in a truck then go for it, if you go to a certainPRIME company you will certainly "Train" on a teaming truck! Whatever you choose go for it! Stay Safe!

Depending on your skill, I would consider teams only because you will always have a spotter for tights spots, and you can learn a lot together without having the stress of doing everything alone. Other than that, I team as much as I can because the money has been better for me! As long as I do not get a teammate that wants to go sightseeing all the #### time. If you could find an experienced teammate, that would be ideal!

If you're tired enough you'll sleep in a moving truck. Teaming can be good in the sense that you have another person for moral and emotional support.

I also agree with getting on with a company running east and west. Benny Whitehead? or some company like that.

depends on lots of things...are you easy to get along with , patient , do you smoke , sleeping may come hard at first , are you ready to lay your life in a strangers hands....like I said lots of variables to consider. But being a newbie , you are more than likely gonna get a taste of it anyhow during your training period. Just don't let the company that hires you , run you as a team to start with..you're in training..that means your trainer sits in the co-pilots seat and trains you. He/she doesn't use you to get those extra miles......you're there to learn...not work...that comes after the TRAINING. Remember this...and make it a point to discuss it with the dispatch office and the trainer , before ever getting in that equipment to go on the 1st trip.

The only way I would team is if she was good looking and didn't speak much. I would also need to have a motel stay every night
