As they were saying earlier, you can play with suspension all though you should be fine. You can buy an angle finder from lowes home depot really cheap, just sit it on the driveline and make sure you keep angle 7 to 9 degrees. I pull a merritt cattle drive pott and have 11r24.5 on my rig with short fifth wheel legs, but when I have have the 50 ton detach hooked up I really wish for the tall fifth wheel.

    Gliderpilot Thanks this.

Ok drivers. here is the update. I hooked to a 53' railbox and chassis. FW measured 47"... 13'6" from the ground to the top of the trailer. Tires were hitting so I had to crank up the gear to get under it. Only 4" space from bottom of trailer to top of tires
So here is what I did: I bought 10 brand new virgin Triangle 285/75/24.5 low pros for 2,800.picke them up from a local distributor in Linden NJ. My tire guy installed them for 250.00......and I sold my 11R24.5's for 2,000. Peterbilt reset the speedo for 50 bucks.
Tires ride well.and I gained another 2" in height. I now have plenty of clearance. Pulled two loads yesterday with no trouble at all.

Thanks for all the advise and suggestions.
