I hauled 46200 in a reefer and was only over gross by 245 lbs this was with full fuel tanks in my 587. It can be done but getting it right sucks and if it's a long load you can rack up the shower credits. Lol

If you're in a prostar you have forward fuel tanks, the steers are hard to get legal with any fuel on board. Idk why anybody would spec a truck that carries the kind of weight that we do without having aft fuel tanks. It just makes scaling easier.Arkansas Frost and Buckeye91 Thank this.

I forgot that was empty and out of fuel. I'm pushing the limit with 50 gallons over a 1/4 tank. Probably going to run the reefer all night to burn off some fuel and then run my tanks dry gettin where I'm going. Scaled at 79,600 then added the fuel. Prayers for a green light were answered coming into OK so should be alright the rest of the way. New Mexico bound. Anyone have a preference on where to get their tires aligned? Guy in Arkansas was out of town for the week and I really need to get this done before I jack up my brand new shoes!

i hate when i have brain farts and forget how to move my tandems. if trailer heavy move tandem back. drives forward and i have no idea on steer. i barely dealt with heavy overweight axles but whne it happens it pissed me off

Man, I have been getting a string of bad trailers lately. Ones with very small air leaks. When I do my pretrip I dont hear them. But when I park, after a couple hours, the alarm goes off due to no air. I walk around to the trailer, and I start to hear it, very faint. So my question is, is it really worth dealing with OTRM to get it fixed? If I got pulled in for an inspection, and I set the brakes on the trailer, will they ask me to supply air? I really dont want CSA points for something so stupid, but its just a pain dealing with OTRM, and finding time to go to a TA.

they prob will tell you wait till u get to a terminal anyways

Yes we do. The beer trucks can. It's close, but we can do it as long as it's not a rail.

Just remember: heavy in the front, move the wheels to the front. Heavy in the back, move the wheels to the back.
When you need to slide the 5th wheel, it's opposite. -
I really haven't had much trouble with OTRM. Picked up a trlr last July in Virginia with a leaking air line that only got worse as I ran with it. Finally had to string it up with cable ties to slow down the leak. Had a few hours before next 01 so I sent detailed msg to OTRM and that I was only 30 miles from a Petro. They simply said ok, do it there. 2 hours later it was all fixed up. I could have kept running with it tied up with cable ties cuz it was leaking less than when I got it, but for me it was also about not passing the problem on to the next guyLady K, Ice Train and passion4polishing Thank this.
