Find a smaller carrier. CDR, Tom and Ted's, and SKS are all hiring.

Thanks for posting. Not enough money to live in the truck, though, unless the sleepers are condos.

Im thinking of heading to the Bakken when the season starts up in the spring. Not sure if its the best move giving up my local union job to work on the oil patch, but I dont know anywhere else I can make over 70k a year driving.

Well what experience do u have? Housing is tough to get without having some money saved... Companies are picky about who They hire now... Cause the desperate need for workers isn't as great as it was. Do ur research with what u make here and high living cost u will prob be about the same staying where you work at now....

OK, I just graduated a Class A CDL school at a local Technical College (in Louisiana). I have Hazmat, Doubles & Triples, Tankers, and a TWIC. But, no driving experience other than what I got in the 240 hour program. What chance do I stand as a newbie CDL driver of getting hired? One of the best selling points is that I am not afraid of work. Any info that you might provide would be greatly appreciated. I read the comments about www.jobsnd.com and www.dakotaoiljobs.com and will check that out. Any suggestions, anyone?
