Really? At $2/miles 30% is 60cpm. At 40cpm driver pay, you're cool with broker making 150% on what the trucker makes actually pulling the freight?
I think even 15% is too much. Thats 30cpm to broker
How exactly do brokers figure out their rates?

Not to mention the skimming that takes place before the broker fee

Why do you just assume every broker skims from the top. How far do you think each broker would get if they just assumed every driver was going to do a bad job. I could tell you some stories on how bad some o/o and drivers are. You do not understand how hard people work to get the freight then along comes a driver who ruins the whole account cause he can not drive 600 miles in a day and a half after you pay them top dollar to do a load.
BookingYou19 Thanks this. -
Thank you 6wheeler as a matter of fact today I spoke to a manufacturer that wanted me to get a load out of his factory since I was there already he told me he is paying 2850 from az to Houston and game me the broker number to call hehehe the broker offer me 1600 and told me it was not negotiable.
