Are advertising some openings around here that are drop and hook light loads with some perks. I sure can not find much chatter on the web about Towne. We have day cab but I would think that where we are it would work.
Is Towne Air Freight considered expediter ?

Towne Air Freight ranks 91st on the Transport Topics 2013 list of for-hire carriers (air cargo, expedited, dry van TL and LTL, dedicated contract carriage, intermodal, transportation management). Their equipment includes 220 lease-to-own tractors and 930 owner-operator tractors.

We are pretty involved in the expedite industry and we would not consider them an expedite carrier.

I always considered them Air Freight and TL dry van. I know they did some dedicated for Cat back in the 90's....
-
TAF has been around for a while and they have provided a bunch of expedite work to a lot of O/Os at FedEx, Landstar and a couple others.
I think it would be a good fit for someone who wants to do local work with a DC. -
Towne Air Freight also has company trucks(both straight and day cab) for LTL work.
-
ya they are always light. max i heard them carry mainly is 18k but there has been 42k but barely barely

Towne air in our area mostly provides air freight transportation. when I worked for a courier company, Town (and Forward air) would bring freight from their airport based WH to our place, we'd do local delivery in either straight truck or cargo van. Seems to me could be a good gig if the pay's right.
