Can anyone answer a few questions for me? I am going to orientation on Monday @ Werner in Allentown, PA. The recruiter told me $425/week for training/refresher for 2 1/2 days and then with trainer for 2-3 weeks, and then I go solo. (I already have experience..just been a while since I drove OTR)

-After the training, what is the pay per mile?

-Are there any other expenses that I have to worry about? Will I be charged for this course weekly, and if so, how much?

-What area does their regional cover? Do they do a lot of NYC?

-What are the average miles/week that the regional position runs?

I've read some of the posts but none of these questions were answered, and I have right under a year OTR.

JB Hunt called me the other day, but since I've been out of trucking for so long, they told me to go take a refresher and apply again. I worked for Central, which is a part of Swift and I'm sure I could go back, but I'm not sure if they run regional. Haven't really done the research on them. Just trying to get my foot back in the door honestly..

Yeah you gotta go thru muck for a lil while

However if you don't mind NYC I know there
    Is a demand for drivers

The bigger companies need those kinda driver's
Jb,Schnieder,Shaffer, then you have the ports also
Your options will be unlimited soon just gotta get in a year or two

Have you looked @ Roehl met a guy the other day at a Menards in Shelby, Iowa who drove for Werner was supposed to be on a regional account, said they sort of tricked him that is why he was way up in Iowa. There's better companies out there than Werner do your homework, just saying
