If they're in your neighborhood, maybe drop by their yard and talk to some drivers? (Of course, that's if you can get near them without having to go thru a security gate, etc).
I applied at a company that's so small it was impossible to get any info (So small that i will be one of their two road drivers). So I stopped in their yard facility to peek around. Equipment looked decent as far as tires and overall stuff. I talked to a guy there at the yard, asked him a few questions , and later found out he would be my supervisor. so the HR guy at the main office found out I stopped to poke around (oops). Ended up being a positive thing tho.
I didn't get any bad vibes, was treated very well by everyone I talked to, everyone was very polite and friendly,, that's really all I had to go by. Just finished out my two week notice from previous company and passed physical, so i guess I'll find out the rest of the story very soon.
Dont know if I should switch companies

they did haul big box store k/mart big trucks from GA alot of FL. loads
-
They're USDOT # 282577 in Forest Park GA. They're not a small fleet. They have 971 PUs, have been in business since 1986.
Since 2008 they've had two onsite comprehensive INVESTIGATIONS, only meaning something safety-related happened.
With that many trucks you'd think someone on TTR would have an opinion.KW Cajun Thanks this. -

Quite a few threads on them,
using the advance search.
searched only the last year -
I 'advanced searched' for Premier Transportation and of 19 threads there are 2 mentions of a trucking company by that name. Most of the hits are were "premier" as an adjective not a noun. What did you search for, Officer? -
how do u know so much personal information on them? Do u currently work for them? What is TTR? Thanks
-
Can't answer the first 2, but TTR is The Truckers Report.
-
Go to that link and type their USDOT # . -
Well, to start, here is their FMCSA SAFER scoresheet...
They've been red-flagged for their HOS violations.
That, plus the info shows Crashes at: 34 injury, 48 towaway, and 3 fatal crashes.
The HOS data kinda sends up a red flag, at least for me.
Edit: Oops, after posting, saw that fr8te_sh8ker just had posted the SAFER link, while I was posting the SAFER link.
Darn you fr8te_sh8ker,, darn you.Last edited: Sep 28, 2013
