I currently drive a lightweight and cannot imagine staying in it for 2-3 months at a time. I would lease a condo; things get pretty tight when you're in it for a long time, no matter how much space you have.

Lightweight's were probably my biggest complaint about Prime. They just plain aren't designed for otr lifestyle.DenaliDad Thanks this.

First off, i want to say thanks to IP, SE and all of the others that have contributed on this thread and others concerning Prime. I have been researching several companies to gain employment with and as of now i can honestly say that Prime is by far my number one choice. The pay during training and after is what made my decision easier.
As far as the training goes, i do think that it's a little extensive but with that said it can only help make me a better driver and help me succeed in the industry.
Once again, thanks to everyone that has contributed. Stay safe and keep rollin!ironpony Thanks this. -
IP, i think he asked only because I've seen that some companies do charge a fee for riders for insurance purposes.
-
That post was 3 years ago! IIRC, company guys don't get charged anything. L/Os get charged a few bucks per settlememt.

Is there a map of hiring areas for flatbed and reefer?
-
As far as company drivers having a passenger in a lw, hopefully it is a girlfriend or wife and not family members, unless one of them feel comfortable sleeping in the front seat.
-
Exactly!! And grinding them all the way!
