I am with Schneider bulk. You can easily clear a grand a week. I run 3 Weeks and then go home for 4 or 5 days. Good people over here, office wise. Equipment is decent, maybe a little worse on average than Quality. I have enjoyed my time here. I will warn you though, we have no terminals near Tallahassee so you will be parking at a tankwash.

I think I made my decision---Trimac call me today but they do not have any openings at this time for a company driver and 2 different terminals managers for QC affilates call me and laid out the red carpet. But I get a nice bonus with Schneider.

Schneider is also advertising like crazy for Bulk Drivers. They are even offering Relocation assistance. I wish like hell they had done that 2 months ago when I go hired on to go to houston, but couldn't do the move. I'm going to call and talk to a recruiter ad see what my options are now. They also raise the referral bonus to $2500 for anyone getting experienced drivers to over to Bulk.
Ethos,
Are they really that shorthanded or is Bulk busier in the wintertime?Last edited: Oct 8, 2013

They are NOT busier during winter times. Winters suck. I was in Schneider Bulk for ten years. The equipment isn't too shabby. There were a couple years they had a lot of issues with the new Cascadias as they were figuring out the new DEF stuff. But I was in a 2013 and had very little problems with it. Just be prepared to stay out for at least 3 weeks solid if you want to make decent money. Because of my having a family, I stayed out two weeks at a time and took three days off each time. Very good home time. They will get you there when you want. It's really up to you. Most drivers I talked to were getting their 2500 miles a week. I was definitely not one of those. Good luck.

Another thing to take into account is your location. I don't know where Ethos runs out of but I ran out of the Southeast and a lot of guys/gals from this area typically did not get the miles that tanker yankers in other parts of the US were getting. However, they are actively finding new accounts in the area so opportunities for dedicated and regional are always around the corner. Whatever gripes I might have had about the company (I'm a trucker so I whine), they treated me fairly and kept me running most of the time. One other thing that I learned to appreciate more (and I already appreciated this aspect) is that they will not make you run if you have misgivings about the weather, your health, etc. They are highly safety conscious and will not force you to do anything that you feel you aren't up to. Be ready to endure a lot of safety meetings/classes/messages. But that's a good thing. They don't want their assets getting damaged.
If you are a good, safe driver, you will absolutely get what you put into Schneider. I left for other opportunities but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to SNBC. And since I left on good terms, they've told me I can come back. Maybe it will happen.
