Hmmm....I would point out where you contradict yourself but that would lead to another lie so I'll leave it alone.
Yes, I went broke working for Stevens but Stevens set me up for a #### good job that Ive been at almost two years.
I have heard stories about your last paycheck from Stevens as well as most other companies. When I quit Stevens I waited until I was in Little Rock then called my DM and told him to route me to the yard as I was leaving the company. I got my last paycheck within a reasonable amount of time and it was for the full amount owed to me. I was fully reimbursed for all of the items that we had to purchase from the shop. Honestly I expected to get screwed around when I left but Stevens did me right.
I do agree with your statement about doing your homework and choosing the company thats best for you. Stevens was my choice and while they are far from the perfect company I feel that I made the right choice.
Sounds like to me that you backed into too many trucks at the T/A and Stevens made you pay your own bus fare back home. Now your disgruntled and are here to bash Stevens with your first post on TTR.
See ya

I need some info on Stevens Transport, as a school and as an employer...... I am supposed to attend the school in Colorado for 3 weeks and then to Dallas to get a trainer to go out on the road. Please any insight into recent practices would be greatly appreciated.

Everything I have read in these post are making me think that Stevens and England are carbon copy all the way from "family ran" to the 62 mph governed trucks. The school was the same and the training the same leasing the same the only difference I found is that england doesn't make you pay back for the hotel, bus ticket (unless you get fired), or food (you eat on your own dime no forwarding of money to you). -

Oh, thats the new guy that just came over from Werner...
FozzyBear Thanks this. -
Actually, someone having a dirty truck doesn't really affect me. -
Just the dead bodies the driver's picked up out on the road. No worries.

That would be an unauthorized passenger, unless they filled out the form and got prior approval.
