Will do, good, bad, and ugly. I am so anxious tonight, I wont be able to sleep. Leave via Greydog at 0650. I do not have usb tethering on my phone or whatnot, so I would prefer to use this laptop for my long stories. I shoot for at least once a week. Probably at the end of the pay week so that I can include all the miles that I have run and will be getting paid for. Going to ask about an ezpass when i get to orientation, because I seen an advertisement from them saying they have them. I reall REALLY want one. Could care less about prepass since I stay legal anyways. But yeah, look for updates at least weekly!

I have a buddy that just started at IRT and so far so good for him... I am looking at them really hard and they are at the top of my list
FSU Thanks this. -
Hopefully I can provide more insight. From the folks I have talked to, as long as you do not need a babysitter and know how to get from point A to point B on time, you will be fine and the money will come. Some folks complain about 6 hour unload times that we aren't paid for, but hell, just stay in the sleeper another 2 hours and keep rolling. Don't go hunt down a truck stop and have to start your break all over again. The ones complaining, not all, but a lot of them, are the ones that do not know how to manage their clock. They need the little annoying box to do it for them. That is just my opinion, but I will know more come next week!

yeah the place I work at right now I am not looked at all day everyday so I get to do my own thing and it is nice... we are on elogs but sometimes I got 3-4 days without talking to my DM and I love that part. I really like the fact that IRT drivers get to take the truck home and choose fuel stops and routing on their own.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have completed orientation and decided to go home until my teammate gets through orientation this week. He will be assigned a tractor and will pick me up on the way out of FL.
Orientation went like this:
Day 1: Physicals/Road Test
Day 2: Paperwork, paperwork, more paperwork, and a few videos.
Day 3: Tractor assignment (I went home)
You have a shared motel room, and the motel leaves much to be desired; however, you do get free breakfast and there are many places to eat around there. You are also given the company van to make trips wally world, or wherever you need to go, so you are not stuck walking everywhere. Everyone in the orientation was really nice.
Other than that, I left afterward to come back to my hometown and have been relaxing.scottied67, 123456 and The Challenger Thank this. -
