Raced across Wyoming and Nebraska staying ahead of the storm. Well maybe race is to strong a word for a 63 mph truck. Spending the night in Omaha waiting for the tornado.

 

In bellemont waiting for ppl. Black ice alert this am...28f. Wabasto been on all night.

 

On are way to flagstaff from Kansas city ks . Then we have a ppl headed to Neenah Wi. Happy to be staying out of the weather up on i80 .

 

I wanted to say thanks for all the info in this thread. Been lurking for a while and got my prehire letter yesterday. Finish school in 2 weeks and hope to pass my driving test. I have been able to make informed decisions based on the honest real life experiences of drivers like you. So thanks and keep it up! Now trying to decide on Schneider Vs HOW and the only reason its even a question is Schneider just raised there starting CPM to .33 Though there are a lot more things to consider than base money.

 

At the Iowa 80 truck stop for the day, delivering at 5:00 am tomorrow in Rock Island. Going to visit the truck wash and the dog wash. Dog is not so happy with the idea. Then getting a load of scrap heading back to the yard to get PM done.

 

Got my truck washed, 3 hours later it rained. Mother Nature hates me. Dog wash was awesome. I also have to say it was the best truck wash I've ever gotten. The guys did a really great job and paid attention to detail.

 

Boggy D congrats on taking the class and good luck o. Passing the test! Your right when you say cents per mile base is only one part. Make sure you look into the bonus money company's have, safety, mileage etc this can add up to quite a bit of money. Also make a list of what is important to you and prioritize, home time and how you want it, miles, equipment s, csa scores etc and then talk to that companies drivers or post in the forums here to see if it matches what you want.
