    1. 55- You must be driving OR and CA often

2.Floating gear is a given, they just dont teach you that at the schools.

3.Coasting? If you pull out of gear to coast uphill, how do you get it back in gear without grinding much less finding it? Never tried this.

    4. Not Idling just so you can hear the lizards knock. Dam, are you looking for company? Thought not idling was to save fuel. Didnt think it was to let the lizards know your in need. I dont think the lizards want sweaty huevos anyway but I could be wrong on this.

    5. 12-13.5 is good.

6 and 7 is scientific. never did the research.

Bottom line, gear up at a lower rpm. Use cruise and stay out of the high 60s. I get high 7 barely trying.

Finding the gear again after throwing it out is insanely easy with practice it has everything to do with understanding your gears and your speed I can find my gear 95% of the time without grinding. You note your speed, bring the rpms up to the appropriate level, and bring it home. If that stumps you id get more schooling from a driver who actually gives a #### whether you make money or not.as for the lot lizards that was what we sweaty huevos call humor. We also like such things being said to our faces. We prefer it in fact.

95 % of the time. What happened to the other 5%. Did you have a brain fart? And yes, it was just humor.

Floating is NOT illegal...and coasting is not ONLY illegal....it's dangerous....your trucking trainer guru taught you some bad habits. Most of us FLOAT...nothing new or illegal here....but coasting tears up alot of equipment, countryside and can get you or someone else killed....you probably need to cease this bad habit or atleast quit recommending it to others to save fuel.....what have you gained if you save 1/10 of a gallon of fuel, but run over someone because you couldn't stop or get it back into gear?

When did we change the meaning of drivers discretion and safe coasting to fly down the neighborhood streets at 90 mph blowing the horn like a madman? Also, forgive me if im mistaken, but I could of sworn that your transmission was NOT your primary braking system. Maybe, just maybe, there are ways to be safe despite what papa DOT told you. But it's like you said, you can't explain a #### thing to someone who knows everything, all you can do is play along

So your the idiot I always see at the bottom of the hill on the shoulder with the brakes on fire. So tell me again what does coasting up hill have to do with your latest example of blowing through a neighborhood again? So what are we talking about again.
Ahhh, saving fuel and your way of saving fuel is coast down hill which you have to do first to coast uphill right. If your coasting through a neighborhood at 90 you learned well grasshopper. I will stop and lend you my fire extinguisher to put out the dumbness
