How do you train on 7/7 if you're suppose to have your trainee for 12 days or so?

Not exactly. Reefers are heavier, (about 1500 lbs I believe) so this limits certain loads. Also, you can't haul lay down rolls of paper because they can't nail stops into the floor. But I know what you're driving at.

I'll find out soon enough whether I get better miles or not.

I would love to be able to be a trainer on 7/7.

Actually it used to be a lot longer. When I started it was 20 days with a trainer followed by another 20 days with another student. Then they changed it to just 20 or more days with a trainer. It used to work perfect for 7/7 trainers. One trainer would train 7 days , then the student would get the other trainer for 7 and then back to the first trainer to finish up. Then somebody in charge decided that students needed a break in the middle of training. This created a mess with students getting four or more trainers. It is pretty scary to think they are letting people out there with only five days of training.

Never nailed a lay down stop, they have always used rubber mats, and straps if needed.

What happened to the OP? I haven't seen anything from them in awhile. They should have been done with Phase 2 by now.

Yep. Guess we'll see...sometimes people don't come back to the forum for awhile, if ever. Or they end up going with a different company, or lots of other possibilities....

Another Ohio Roehl student here. I got my permit, passport, DOT card, and TWIC so I'm ready to go. I start school locally here with Trainco in a month or so. I was going to go to their school in WI but they said I could go here locally. The school near me is a 15 min. drive so that worked out better. I picked their reefer fleet as well. It offered a tad more per mile and allows you to also carry dry loads. I would prefer drop and hook but Roehl was in need for their Reefer fleet.
