Dang.. what kind of a Harley do you have? My FJR or Bandit would cruise @120 + a few, but my 88 B is lucky to struggle to 110 or so, and that was 10 years ago when she was new... and I hadn't even thot about a cdl. I have slowed down.
Good luck, hope things work out for you.

I built up a sports car 10 years ago. Once a week, I would take her out on the bigroad and run her up to 140. She loved 140. Went out on a road course and was finally able to open her up. Lost her on a blind apex and got into the grass. Everything was quiet and peaceful as the car skated sideways on the grass. I remember looking to the left as the tirewall came up. "This is going to hurt".

Well, she stopped a foot from the wall. I got her back on track and they black flagged me. I pulled into the pit and checked her over. Everything seemed to be fine, no suspension components damaged. Wow what a relief! THEN, I started shaking uncontrollably. I was so nervous that I couldn't drive.

I still have the car, but I've never again taken her out to speed again like I used to. If you have the need for speed, find some sanctionedracing body near you and join up. It's worlds safer and easier on the wallet. And most of all, it will cure the triple digit runs on public roads.

My bike tops at about 186.. on the track. Many bikes do 150+ just not many harleys. Its a 15 over speeding ticket is all I was given.

Everyone so far has been shocked im the backseat driver. Your to close wwatch that car etc. I purely let excitement of breaking into a low 9 second quarter finally hopefully with the new setup that I let common sense go. I dont believe the 9 second quarter will be a issue. Point of launch to point clocked at 125 was just over 1/8 mile.

Um, for the record Patty, Kawasaki ZX-14R factory gov. at 155 mph, Suzuki/Hayabusa @ 170 mph, most crotch rockets will do at least 155 mph for the limiter, but will hit 200 mph if it's turned off

A real thrill is being a passenger on a military aircraft with the seats facing aft & wearing handcuffs while being launched by catapult from an aircraft carrier & thinking, "I must have had a really good time in Olongapo; too bad I can't remember it."
