Im used to putting on the chains and runnin for hours. Ive gotten pretty quick, 20 minutes and all ready to go! Really the light loads would be easier, I usually gross 107,000 with 6 axles, and 116,000 with 7.

Well, one thing to consider is how this country is going down the tubes. All of the people that work their ### off (maybe 45% of the country?) are wearing themselves down working their ##### off while the rest of the country sits on their ##### doing nothing leeching off of our hard work through welfare, food stamps, etc etc. When this corrupt government destroys the dollar and effectively renders all of our hard work and investments worthless, where will we be at? We'll be in the same situation as the leeches that have slacked off and screwed around while we were killing ourselves keeping this sinking ship afloat.

So when considering this, happiness probably should take precedent over money.

I vote for happiness. You were making decent money before u got this run. If it makes u tired and unhappy , it's probably not worth.
And somebody said something about moving to Asia. Well, I saved a considerable amount of money living in a truck for 20 years. Maybe I should leave now. No dot. No long hours. No parking problems. No sleeping in a truck. Less chance of getting in a wreck and getting sued for everything I have. What am I doing still working?
As a matter of fact, a friend's brother moved to Thailand. My friend asked him if he was coming back. He said screw the US, I'm staying in Thailand.

I think you'll be more content a week on then a week off that was a good plan. Personally I couldn't and wouldn't hack it for long week after week of 90 hours and a day off if you're lucky. I put up with that bs for 10 long years and thankfully never will have to again. Some guys say $160k a year and $2 on the hub is not enough. I say those guys have too many expensive hobbies and toys to pay for. I could bank great money on that and eat like a king. And if 7 days off is too much you can always spend a night or 3 watching the computer picking off those "driver tell me what you need here" last minute runs. You probably already know of some contacts with freight like that and what to look for. That supplements the $160k and you're padding your numbers on the steady run. Home time a plenty. Work hard (and smart) when you do, relax and breathe when you don't. That's what I'd do.

Talking out loud, this is what i think i am going to do..I am going to give this more time and stick it out until my friend gets back to NY.I will run the week on and week home.I will then sit down with myself and see where i stand and how i feel..

This ''dedicated'' same crap everyday is over rated as far as i am concerned. It takes a special robot to do this but i am trying and giving it all i got..

I am a midwest Logistics hauler and i miss that alot.I love 1-70.1 80 and 1 90.I miss being in different places everyday meeting new people. This run is a auto parts milk run, same crappy road day in and day out.Gets old very very quick..lol,lol...

Until then i will keep you posted on my decision on which way i go..Until then Happy Trails....

I have a wife with dual citizenship, makes me a shoe in for another country. Jeez, You made me feel bad. Used to run OKC to Denver with a load of cattle and back to Woodward ety, 1000 miles by myself, sleep 4 hr and go to OKC and get another load and go back to DEN. I ran so hard sometimes my rear had black bruises on it. I ahve a BIL who lives in Norwood so I know the area and it isn't so bad. 11 is a pretty good road and traffic is fairly heavy but moves well. I only see one cop usually and maybe 2 between Watertown and Massena so you must see the same one. Quit, go to work for Big R and quit whining.

Mike I started my insurance to go independent today. I will be running I90,I70,I44. The midwest runs are much nicer. Being home is nice but stressful routes get old.
Unless you tell LS to shove thier petty bs where it belongs, i would run it and bank money till winter gets bad. Then id go midwest or independent or just enjoy life till spring doing short runs for big $. Thats just my opinion and what i would do if my truck was still payed for
