It made the news around there as I was coming through there on the way home. Only supposed to be on the inner. I'm going back out Saturday sure hope I don't get something going through there anyway. Not like they're going to do anything but piss off the locals the people that matter don't even get on the beltway they spend their time inside of it. If you want to make an impact and affect change you have to inconvenience the ones living and operating INSIDE the beltway, not the ones that are using it to get from one place to the next. Like me.

10 days out actually worked out well for me this last time out. Those 4 figure checks are nice hehehe but I had good trips that I could manage my time good on too. Hopefully the planner does as good a job this time out as last.

 

dunno....you'll have Curtans this weekend...last weekend you had Brian! Never had a problem with either one....but some weekends you just never know! BTW, if you guys stop in Manning at the TA that Mexican joint right across the street is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheap and well worth it! I'm so full I'm gonna pass out now! lol

$5 that's funny lol you know I got a wife and 4 dogs and too many kids to feed. hell seems like the dogs are more expensive to feed than the wife and kids most weeks. actually i'm running pretty close to that 4 figure check most weeks now anyway and every 3-4 weeks ends up a really good one.....I had 4207 miles on this one for the 10 days out. the pay certainly is better than a lot of places I could have gone to be pulling a box.

watch your back down that stretch of road....or your tanks anyway.....just saw another guy post a day ago about having fuel stolen in st George again. seems to be a good little racket goning on down there. you aren't far away from there

 

they wanted me to fuel at that exit 77...won't need it....fuelled up in Florence...good to go. NEVER EVER had a problem in Manning! Heads up fellas....we have a troll on this forum! He works for another company. Watch out! Dunno why he hasn't been reported?
anybody know about POPS? Thought he was gonna keep in touch with us? Guess since he went to leasing he's darn near broke, or just too darn busy?

 

I saw him on a mercer thread couple weeks ago saying he was heading to orientation there the following week and asking questions about them. Don't know if he bought a ride or the one he was running with the other company but that was last time I saw anything from him.

 

Hey Epes drivers! I'm still around. Just haven't been on here in a while. I did buy my own truck, 07 Pete. Leased it on with Mercer. Great company for me. I'm back to loving trucking, going all over the USA, they ask ME where I want to go. Been home way more than I want, typically driving 2000-2500 miles a week and making plenty of money. I'm amazed every settlement at how much money I'm making. If you are interested in the owner op route you really need to check out Mercer.
Ive found my home I think. Trucking is what I will do the rest of my life. I'm living a dream in this profession.
I think I have about 6-8 more states and I will have driven all of the lower 48. I'm so glad I have been able to see more than the northeast. There are some really beautiful places across the US.

nice way to start the week with solid miles even though it sucks to start the week on Saturday........off the yard to Minooka, il for tomorrow then Rockford out to Tulsa....so back across the river again.......has the feel of a week i'm going to have to manage my hours now so I don't get stuck somewhere end of the week out of time.......

at least I've got the race on tv tonight......prerace show they showed a beautiful 5lb bbq grilled cheese sandwich.....that thing looked as yummy as sloppy wet kinky sex on a buttered grilled bun lol......I want one.......been a long time since I missed the October race in charlotte....should have been there tonight instead of sitting in ohio......oh well.....
