I've been talking to Terri the gal that heads this fleet, as I plan to transfer to it as soon as my dbl will release me. The break down from her was 950 the first week then it goes up per above for each aditional week out. You have a maditory 2 weeks out. She also told me that the main thing this fleet will be doing is setting up new accountd and moving equipment. They have seperated this from the flex fleet although its similar but you can get benifits and its not considered part time.I have another phone meeting with her tomorrow and plan to ask a few more questions then..ill let you know what I find out. I do know they are only looking for about 25 more drivers and a lot of guys are doing transfers.

Yeah, I've been told there are "better qualified" candidates. Nicole didn't like the fact that I don't work 'round the clock and I won't drive graveyard shift. Talked myself right outta' this one. ;-)

New accounts are mostly dollar stores. I heard Schnieder is trying to get most all accounts, if they can get drivers

Well after talking to terri again and getting a straight forward answer for a change I have come to the conclusion that this is a way to try an dupe drivers into the those high turn over account.. so I politely declined to transfer.

Yes, but they're paying a *lot* more than the other fleets that do the General/Family Dollar accounts, *if* what the job description/compensation says is true. I don't mind hard work if I'm not getting ripped off for it.

If they would run those dollar accounts like the beer and soda company delivery drivers do, it wouldn't be so bad. They need a helper on every truck, day cab and shorter trailers for inner cities. And stop stacking stuff on top of the roller carts to the ceilings and maybe they could get drivers then.
