We were just at a truck stop in St Louis before crossing over into Illinois a few hours ago and I ran into a trainers truck with CRST and I actually know this trainer.
I asked his trainee why he chose a carrier based training program and CRST and his answer was interesting to me. He said that CRST offered him the immediate opportunity to team which is his plan and since he lives in Texas, the best opportunity to go home somewhat regular.
He also told me that they were the only one who didn't push some lease to own program from day one and have not as of yet.
I asked him if 22 cpm bothered him and he said that $600.00 a week is not bad pay for a high school drop out with limited education and a desire to see the country.
