Wel trucking Good or bad?

i had a buddy of mine work for them, and he liked them. this is all i can say, sorry.

 

They have a good safety record !!!!!

 

They are really spending the advertising dollars on satellite radio!

 

What mode of transpotation are they bringing you in on?

 

Wel sucks!!! I worked for those greedy thieving ######## 4 two years.The worst mistake ever.Please don't even waste your time.They are sorry!! Garbage!!!

 

The 3 worst companies I've worked for (1.Southern Refrigerated Transport.This so called company is the worst of the worst.They are a joke I couldn't quit fast enough.(2.Knight Transportation-If you like making money stay away from those clowns, or you will be working 4 free.(3.WEL Trucking out of De Pere,Wisconsin. We were given a survey on how to make the company better.My (Reply) shut down the company and start over.And let me come in and rebuild the company from the ground floor.To make a long story short i gave them a 2 day notice and quit.They will turn you into a slave...Dont believe me. My last job change was 2007. One of the companies I applied to was WEL. My record was spotless at that point and received several job offers. I never heard from them and took another job.

About 7 months later I'm driving down the road and get a call from them asking if I want a job.

I said, "I'm sorry, I applied to your company seven months ago. If you starved me that long, you'll starve me more. I don't play seconds to any company. Goodbye".

I don't know how they are, but it felt good to say that, lol.

 

Think Twice and do more research before go for WEL
Here is my story: I'm in Dallas,TX and a recent Grad CDL.
Schneider and WEL call me back a day after submitted my application.
According to Truck report I pick WEL with APU and more mile;
I suppost to take Gray hound from Dallas,TX to Green Bay,WI for 4 1/2 week training
I got Gray Hound Confirmation number, Taxi phone number etc from WEL companies recruiter name Jody Dufek.
When I arrived Gray hound station in Dallas downtow on Lamar st.
Guest What ! No confirmation number !
No Ticket ! have been reserved under my name or WEL company.
The confirmation number that I have under someone name and go to New York not Green Bay,WI.
I have been call and wating an hour and 1/2 at Gray Hound station for WEL companies to call me back...( Na da and go home)
Two hours later after I got home...WEL's recruiter name TJ call me and gave me another Gray hound comfirmation number for Ticket.
I need to think twice and more ! I'm not sure I'll have Taxi to pick me up ! I'm not sure I'll have Hotel for the night !
More than that ! If I decide to work for WEL companies " I'm not Sure I'll have WEL Support team when I needed"

 

I got a voicemail from WEL.

"Hey _______, you want a job ? It's _______ from WEL. Give me a call back at 000-000-0000"

The recruiter sounded ignorant. I never called them back.
