blind ur problem has a simple solution; when u pull out the bay, stop before the end of the driveway & inspect the wash; if it's not to ur satisfaction have them rewash it & have them cover the aluminum to prevent the damage to ur polish job

Well exactly if you have polished parts there's supposed to be covered if using brightner but main cause of streaks are left over soap Hense the double rinse
Blind Dog Thanks this. -
Yeah, I gave specific instructions to the bay leader about my truck. I give up on the beacon. I'm gonna start using the truck washes that my old company used. Even if I have to pay out of pocket, it'll be worth it in the long run.

Finally sitting at home. I've learned that the best way to get good miles, in glass, is to just don't go home! I was out almost the whole month of September. I'll be leaving out on Monday, for at least 3 weeks. I don't know what else to do. Also, I have research the other truck washes, and I'm going to try different truck washes. I'll post my results on here.

I got a phone call today from my f/m. She was offering me a load for Sunday evening, to deliver Monday morning. I really need/want my time off, however, I need the money. So long story short, I'll be headed out Sunday afternoon, instead of Monday morning.

Well now, I head up to the truck today, ready to head out. Power up my unit. Wait, and wait for my w/a to show up.It never did show up. So I call extended service to find out what's going on. Long story short, my f/m never put the load on me. So here I sit, empty. I get to play the Monday morning empty game, that's one of my favorites. Will keep y'all posted.

The load I was supposed to have on Sunday, they gave me on Monday morning. Cool, I was down the road by 0830. From there, I went to Laurinburg to Toronto. From Toronto to Church Hill, Tn. From there to Quaker Town, Pa. Back to Church Hill for a load headed to San Antonio. I'm running on recaps now, but if I can make San Antonio by Friday afternoon, that'll be over 3,000 miles in a week. Everything is going great with Maverick. Like I said before, to get good miles I can't go home.
On a different note, I went to "Finish Line Truck Wash" out side of Memphis. For $38 I got a HAND WASH!! My truck has never looked better! I don't even have to repolish my aluminum! Y'all be safe. -
A hand wash to avoid is Ozora truck wash in Ozora, MO. I-55 xit 145ish. $28 and the truck looked great when it was wet. The next day the paint is all marred up. They used SOS for soap and it was way to rough on the paint.

Sorry to hear that. I would be LIVID!! I'll write your place down in my book, and avoid it like the plague.

Blind Dog,
Have followed your whole post, its been informative. Just made a career change and got my CDL. I was looking at your "previous employer" and doing glass with Maverick. Could you elaborate a little on your experience with the black and chrome and the difference (in your experience) between the two carriers? Thanks
