To Nitrogen and Northboundhound,
Thanks for the info, guys. If I understand the process right, I need a company that will offer me a job, i.e. sponsor me in, which then gives me the basis for applying for a work-permit, etc. As long as I can find such a company, I will chase up all the immigration requirements. If I can identify a few realistic prospects I'm quite happy to come over to Alberta, show up on the door, and talk to them. I did so with a company in BC a few years back, but had to pull out and stay in the UK for family reasons (which no longer apply now). Will now go and look up Canyon.
Cheers
Peter

Thank you long weekend, the new job is a lot of training. Head is a little burnt out. Anyone know of any rentals in GP that aren't a rip off or a dump?

What are some good research sources for the oilfield regarding driving jobs? Flint sounds pretty good but i want something that pays well and can allow me to have a personal life.
I was wirelining and that was a pretty good balance.
